What do I need to connect my 45CL4 Digital to my Digital Camera for full TTL support?
You will need an SCA 3045 module and the appropriate SCA3002 series module (SCA3102 Canon, 3402 Nikon)

Can I use my CL series Hammerhead flash for full support with my digital camera?
Only the 45CL4 Digital will give full TTL support with digital cameras.  Other CL series flashguns will give Auto apertures and Manual mode using an SCA301 adapter and an SCA 300A connecting cable.

Can I use my older CT series flashgun with my digital camera?
Due to the age of the CT series they use a high 24v trigger voltage as they were designed many years ago for traditional film cameras.  We would not recommend them for connection to a digital camera where the trigger requirement is a much lower 6 to 8v.

Which SCA adapter do I need for full TTL support on my current digital SLR with a compatible digital flashgun?

  • Canon – SCA 3102 module
  • Olympus – SCA 3202 module
  • Minolta – SCA 3302 module
  • Nikon – SCA 3402 module
  • Fuji – SCA3402 module

Why do I need a digital compatible flashgun to get TTL support with my DSLR?
There is new circuitry built into the Digital Flashguns which allow them to communicate properly with the advanced flash features of modern Digital cameras.  The SCA adapter then gives the correct foot pin configuration to transfer and process the camera information correctly to this circuitry providing accurate flash control.

What is the primary difference between the current AF and MZ series flashguns?
The AF series are supplied with a fixed camera specific hot shoe connection to give dedicated control.  The MZ series use an SCA series adapter for dedication, giving the flexibility to change between camera manufacturers by simply swapping over to a different SCA adapter.
The MZ series will also give you the advantage of additional Auto apertures and more advanced control.
