Combined with the corresponding SCA adapter, the mecablitz 44 MZ-2 can be used with almost any analog SLR camera as well as with Minolta, Nikon, Olympus and Sony digital cameras.
This powerful compact motor-zoom model (GN 44) can be used in either TTL, automatic or manual flash mode, and features a number of interesting special functions including fill-in flash in daylight to brighten up very dense shadows. Synchronisation with the second curtain is important, for instance for natural rendition of slow sync effects. Moreover, it offers (provided that the function is supported by the given camera) Advanced Distance Integration (ADI) flash control, multi-zone flash metering (Minolta), matrix-controlled fill-in flash and under-exposure indication in f-stops (Nikon), monitoring preflash function (Leica), TTL preflash (Contax), contrast control and spot-beam mode (Pentax).
