It wins the test hands down on results though, being near perfect on the 350D and excellent on the D50. It's a great choice for a simple and very powerful (maybe at times too powerful) flashgun.

VERDICT: It isn't a surprise that Canon and Nikon's models work well with their own cameras and you can hardly go wrong with them. The Olympus FL-36 is a little behind the others in terms of power and coverage but is suitable for basic snapping in low light. If you want a flash that offers something a little more than they do for the same price, then the Metz 54 AF-1 is a great choice and is therefore the winner of our Best Buy award this month.
